Gracechurch Street Ceilings
The contact for Interco Projects was to supply, deliver and install new suspended ceilings with fire barriers to the 5th floor of 55 Gracechurch Street, London. EC3
Being in the heart of the City and on a Red-Route with vehicle weight and timing restrictions, the project posed logistical issues that required multi-product deliveries on Interco’s own smaller vehicles.
Interco installed an insulated Armstrong R-Clip Metal ceiling tile, suspended on a concealed A-Bar metal suspension system. The design was for a full tile module with a plasterboard margin that included transition trims and a smooth tape jointed finish to the plasterboard. A new fire protection system was also installed by Interco that comprised of Rockwool Abalative slab to for the underfloor barriers. Rockwool Beam Clad to the exposed structural steels and Saveguard Firehalt Ceiling Cavity Barriers all to Building Control approval.
A new fan-coil AC system with supply & return grilles was integrated into the ceiling along with a new Zumtobel lighting system.
Interco worked alongside the M&E contractors to ensure a perfect delivery
